Here be the paintin' my art teachers requested I make for my retiring principal. I effed up the flatness. It was supposed to be very flat (three colors onlyyy), but that's really not my style. So to redeem myself, I tried getting rid of the blending to simplify it a bit. It's not doneee. |

I find it hard to draw people like they are IRL. I always end up with.. people who either look nothing like them, or has a totally different face but the same hair haha.
Aye, it's hard.
A fun project to try is gridding a photograph and then gridding a blank paper with the same amount/size squares. Then draw the photo square by square. It really does help with accuracy.
Look at some stuff by Chuck Close. His stuff's inspiring!

Yeahh, some people told me to grid my paper and do it square by square, but I can't draw like.. enough detail to make the squares look like anything more than a line. So I feel silly doing it. D:
